Hello Program Directors,

I hope this year is off to a great start for everyone! I wanted to send an email out to notify you of some updates we have made to our approved training program requirements. With the new CMS regulations, ANFP has seen an increased interest in the exam. While we have multiple pathways for a candidate to register for an exam, Pathway I, which is for individuals who have graduated from an ANFP approved training program, is one of the most popular. In order to ensure a smooth process for graduates registering for the exam, we are asking for our approved schools to include consistent information on certificates of completion. We feel this change will assist our staff in efficiently managing the influx of exam candidates, and in turn, improve your students' experience. I have outlined below what we are requiring on the certificate. This is also included on page five of the requirements that can be found in the Instructor Resource Center.

Certificate of Completion Provided to Student

Upon completion of a program, each graduate needs to be provided a certificate of
completion verifying successful completion of the program. The certificate must contain:
  • Name of school
  • ANFP approved training program logo
  • Date graduated
  • Student name
  • Program Director signature
A sample of a certificate along with the Approved Training Logo is provided in the Instructor Resource Center.

We are requiring the new certificate requirements for all students graduating after April 1, 2017. As a reminder, we also require that the student be included on the graduate list that you provide to us. In the case where a candidate tries to register prior to us receiving a graduate list from you, we will reach out to confirm so that the student is not delayed in registering.

We appreciate your attention to this matter. Again, we hope this change will help with a more efficient process for all. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me any time.

Thank you,
