ANFP Dialogue - News & Notes for ANFP Training Program Faculty
Dear Program Directors,
 
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! We have several updates from ANFP to share. Please see below for this important information. As always, we appreciate your commitment to the dietary manager profession.
 
Requirements
 

As you know, a task force was convened to discuss the ANFP Approved Training Program field experience requirements due to the changing healthcare industry landscape. The ANFP Board of Directors has approved changes to the ANFP Approved Training program requirements and has further defined the temporary COVID-19 policy. Please see the communication sent in April.


View the latest ANFP Approved Training Program Requirements and please remember to use the newest version of the application when submitting your renewals. 
Requirements Addition
 
ANFP will also now require an annual report which will be sent out to approved programs each spring. Reports will be due to ANFP by 8/31 and will incorporate the Instructional Staff Update. Look for this e-mail in the coming month.  
 
Pathway IIIb 
 
For programs offering Pathway IIIb, a checklist has been created to help you as a director and your students determine if their employment experience meets the exam eligibility requirements. Please use this checklist as needed. Please note: official eligibility for the exam will be determined by the CBDM at the time of the exam application. 
Statistics 
 
We are working on preparing exam statistics. We hope to have these sent out in the next 6-8 weeks. 
CDM Credentialing Exam Application Process  
 
To provide for a more secure method of registration for the CDM Credentialing Exam, the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM) has moved to a solely online registration system. Paper applications will no longer be accepted. Access the updated Exam Candidate Handbook to review the new process.
Credit Card or ACH Payments
 
Beginning April 1, 2021, ANFP will no longer accept checks as a form of payment. Payment can either be completed by credit card or ACH. Please see this video on how to pay invoices online.
Call for Proposals  
 
We are looking for speakers for our fall 2021 and all 2022 live events. If you or someone you know is interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise, we encourage them to complete our Call for Proposals!
