Dear Program Directors,

I hope everyone’s summer is off to a great start! Below are several updates from ANFP. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. We appreciate your commitment to the dietary manager profession.

Cindy will be hosting a Program Director’s Meeting for those in attendance. This will be an opportunity for you to meet other program directors and discuss challenges and successes in the classroom.  It will be held on Wednesday morning, June 29th 10-11 a.m. in the Salt River 3 room.

Electronic Textbooks

E-Textbooks are coming!  Both the Nutrition Fundamentals and Medical Nutrition Therapy and the Foodservice Management By Design textbooks will be available for purchase as an e-textbook in the ANFP Marketplace later this summer.  This digital version will combine the textbook with the supplemental materials. Users will be able to link to all web pages and referenced supplemental pages, highlight text, and take notes. We are excited to add this offering!

Annual Report & Staffing Updates

You will be receiving the annual report form along with your instructional staffing update spreadsheet in the beginning of July. This report and the staffing update will be due back to ANFP by August 31st.  Please keep an eye out for this email with the instructions on how to complete it. Information provided on the annual report will be used to assess the effect of COVID on field experiences, and the data will help us provide recommendations to the Board regarding the status of the COVID Field Experience Policy that expires 8.31.22.

Reporting Enrollee & Graduates

Just a reminder that ANFP Approved Training Programs are required to submit enrollment rosters with students’ permission on a monthly basis or as your course begins. This helps ANFP effectively communicate important information to enrollees. Graduates of your program are eligible to sit for the CDM Credentialing Exam under Pathway I or Pathway IIIb. Eligibility under these pathways requires candidates to be listed on the official graduate list provided to ANFP by the college. When we do not receive the graduate lists, the candidate’s applications are delayed.  The forms can be uploaded in the Instructor Resource Center or emailed to education@ANFPonline.org.  The Instructor’s Guide will walk you through the process. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Exam Statistics

Exam stats were recently sent out. If you have any questions as you review these, please reach out. Just a reminder that the Individual Performance Report shows the name of your students that have provided authorization to release the pass/fail results to their school. The student must authorize the release of their exam results when registering for the CDM Credentialing Exam.
