ANFP Dialogue - News & Notes for ANFP Training Program Faculty
Dear Program Directors,

I hope everyone is doing well!  We have a few updates to share below. As always, we appreciate your commitment to the dietary manager profession.

CDM Credentialing Exam Statistics

Thank you for your patience as we work with PSI, our examination services provider, to resolve the technical issues they are having with allowing access to the school statistic reports. As soon as we have access to this data, you will receive your reports.
Requirements

Minor updates to the ANFP Approved Training Program Requirements have been completed. Please remember to use the newest version of the application when submitting your renewals.
The Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation (NFEF)

The NFEF is the philanthropic arm of the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) and engages in innovative research and education that promote the vital role of the Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional as the expert in the profession of foodservice management and food safety.

NFEF offers a wide range of grant opportunities garnered from the support of individual donors and Corporate Sponsor partnerships.

Hormel Health Labs partners with NFEF each year to offer students accepted into (or currently enrolled in) an ANFP-Approved Training Program with the Hormel Health Labs Student Grant program. This elligible student grant program will include (3) $1,000 grants and recipients will receive up to $601 to cover tuition and fees and a credit of $399 to cover the CDM Credentialing Exam registration fees. The application will open on June 1, 2022.

You can learn more about this grant program as well as other available grants here

ANFP Annual Training Program Report

The annual report and instructional staff update will be due August 31, 2022. Please look out for an e-mail in the coming months with the forms and instructions.
Do you have students who have foodservice management experience but need the required coursework/program to meet eligibility requirements? Or students who have completed a degree but still need additional coursework?

Schools that offer the Pathway I ANFP Approved Training Program certificate program can also offer opportunities to students who have non-commercial foodservice experience, but require additional coursework to be eligible under Pathways II or V.

As a Pathway I ANFP Approved Training Program, you can also offer Pathway III(b) – this is a fast track for students who already have the required two years of non-commercial foodservice management experience. By signing a Program Director’s letter of Commitment, you agree to teach the entire didactic portion of the Pathway I ANFP Approved Training Program. This will provide an opportunity to reach a larger demographic.

View the full criteria for all Pathways of Eligibility HERE.
