Dear Program Directors and Instructors,

We wanted to let you know about some changes that are occurring affecting the CDM Credentialing Exam application process, effective June 1, 2021. The Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM) continually assesses policies and procedures in an effort to make the application process more efficient for qualified individuals.

After May 31, 2021, the following policies are effective:

Anyone interested in applying for the CDM Credentialing Exam must do so by submitting their application online. CBDM will no longer accept hard copy exam applications submitted via e-mail, fax, or mail.
Exam fee payment must be submitted online as part of the online application process. Payment by check for the exam fee is no longer allowed or accepted. Checks received by mail will be returned to the party who issued the check.

Please update any communications and/or materials you may have that address this information right away. In addition, we are updating the "How to register for the CDM Credentialing Exam", which will be available in the Instructor Resource Center shortly. This document will help your students as they navigate the exam registration process. You may want to highlight the "agree to release results to your school" portion of the registration process. This will authorize student names to appear on the exam stats documents sent twice a year to you.

The CBDM website is a great resource to find information and tools on the most current processes, policies, etc., about the CDM Credentialing Exam and other matters related to the CBDM Certification Program.
