This presentation aims to enhance participants' understanding of food allergies, focusing particularly on sesame as a newly recognized major allergen. It provides an overview of the Big 8 allergens, which account for 90% of all food allergies in the U.S., introduces sesame's recent inclusion, and discusses the current regulatory frameworks like the FASTER Act of 2021.
