Years as a CDM, CFPP: I have been in the industry for five years, with one year of CDM, CFPP certification.

 

 

Why do you embark on a career in foodservice as a CDM, CFPP?

Becoming a CDM, CFPP allows me to combine my love for food with my desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives. As a healthcare professional in the foodservice industry, I have the opportunity to provide nourishing meals to individuals who may be in vulnerable health conditions, especially seniors in long- term care facilities. The field of foodservice offers immense opportunity for growth and professional development. As a CDM, CFPP, I have a chance to constantly expand my knowledge and skills through continuing education and involvement in professional associations. My role as a Certified Dietary Manager will consistently provide me with a sense of achievement, growth, and satisfaction.

What ANFP tools have helped you get acclimated in your career?

ANFP offers a supportive community of like-minded professionals who are always ready to offer guidance and assistance. Through online forums and discussion boards. I have been able to connect with colleagues facing similar challenges, seek advice and share best practices. This sense of community has helped me feel supported and encouraged in my career journey. Providing a constant source of motivation and inspiration.

What are you looking forward to most in your new career?

As a Food Service Director, I am most looking forward to being able to combine my passion for food with my strong leadership skills. This role offers me the opportunity to make a significant impact on the dining experience of our residents, as well as the overall success of the foodservice department. I am confident that this career will be fulfilling, challenging, and above all rewarding.
