Attendees Enjoy Adventure, Connection, and Education at ANFP’s 2024 Annual Conference & Expo (ACE)

St. Charles, IL – The Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) hosted its 2024 Annual Conference & Expo (ACE) in Reno, NV from June 10-13, 2024. 

More than 300 attendees gathered at the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino for four days of adventure, connection, and education. Education kicked off with an opening keynote session called, “The Power of Engagement: Strategies for Attracting and Retaining Top Talent,” presented by April Simpkins. 

Education sessions covered a variety of topics, including financial management; diversity, equity & inclusion; negotiation skills, productivity, regulations updates, mental health, and more. There were two additional keynote speakers: Greg Kettner and Vanessa Hayes, MPA, CC, SNS. 

In addition to education sessions, participants had the opportunity to attend the expo on Wednesday, June 12, and network with more than 40 exhibiting companies. Exhibitors displayed a variety of foodservice products, innovations, and trends. 

There were also several special events attendees could take advantage of, including a First Time Attendees Meet & Greet, Networking Lunch, and the Meet the Board Mixer. New this year were the Networking Lounge, where attendees were encouraged to spend breaks during education sessions, and the Headshot Studio, which provided new professional photos to participants free of charge. 

On Tuesday, June 11, ANFP hosted the Denim & Diamonds Honors Gala, where individuals were recognized with awards for demonstrating the highest level of dedication to the association and the industry. Award recipients are listed here, and acceptance speeches may be viewed on ANFPtv.

ANFP’s philanthropic arm, the Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation (NFEF), hosted a virtual silent auction for attendees. All proceeds from the auction support NFEF grant programs, and provide current and aspiring CDM, CFPPs committed to the field of food and nutrition with career development  and professional growth opportunities. 

ANFP ACE 2025 will be held June 23-26, 2025, in Bloomington, MN, at the Radisson Blu Mall of America.
