Volunteer of the Month
This month we are honoring Richard Hoelzel, FMP, CDM, CFPP of the Idaho (ID) ANFP Chapter.
Richard joined ANFP in 2010 and began volunteering the following year after having attended the Leadership Academy at ACE. While Richard is currently serving as a chapter leader, he started his volunteer career at the National level as a director at large from 2011-2017. He also served as the National treasurer-elect and treasurer in 2018-2019. Following this term, he took a break from his volunteer duties for a short time and returned as a director at large in 2021 and served another three year term. He then began volunteering with the ID chapter where he is currently serving as the president-elect.
As a dedicated volunteer, Richard has made a significant impact on many individual members that are often overlooked. He has sought out these individuals and mentored them by providing guidance in their careers and helping them build their leadership skills and knowledge.
As chapter president-elect, Richard would like to see the West region of the country reinvigorated which can be challenging given it is more sparsely populated (with members). His goal is to work with his employer and circle of influence to increase outreach and inform prospective members (and current members) of the value of ANFP and the credential.
Thank you, Richard! Your generosity as a leader and mentor has positively impacted our members as well as ANFP. We appreciate all you do and have done for ANFP!
We would like to feature you as our next Volunteer of the Month. To nominate yourself (or another volunteer) please email Abigail Solazzo at asolazzo@ANFPonline.org.
