NEW! Understanding Updates to the 2022 FDA Food Code
As CDM, CFPP leaders, the FDA Food Code is the foundation of our food safety and sanitation competencies. This newly released 2022 version warrants a review and refresher for CDM, CFPPs to be sure that we are covering the requirements that ensure safe food practices in our Food and Nutrition Services departments.
CDM, CFPP Scope of Practice
A Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) has met eligibility requirements for and passed a nationally recognized credentialing examination offered by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers. Continuing education is required to maintain this credential. CDM, CFPPs have the education and experience to competently perform the responsibilities of a foodservice manager in a non-commercial setting.
CDM, CFPP Code of Ethics
The Certifying Board for Dietary Managers believes it is in the best interests of the profession and the public it serves that a Code of Ethics provide guidance to Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professionals in their professional practice and conduct.

International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI)
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP), and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) support ongoing interprofessional collaborative practice to implement the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) since its official launch in May 2019 in the United States. IDDSI is an international collaboration of professionals who developed a standardized framework for labeling texture-modified foods and thickened liquids.
